Thank god for love

This song makes my heart dance everytime I hear it, reminding me that love will save the day.

Exactly 40 years ago (-2 days) The Monkees appeared on the Johnny Cash show (June 19th 1969), and even though their career as a group was coming to it's end at the time, this cheerful band knew how to smuggle a smile every time.

Two interesting trivia facts about the Monkees:

1. Jimi Hendrix (!) was their opening act for their 1967 tour.

2. They starred in the freaky movie "Head" (1968 ) which was co-written & co-produced by Jack Nicholson (!!)

Mike Patton´s Mondo Cane - Deep Deep Down

Mike Patton's Mondo Cane performing Ennio Morricone's "Deep Deep Down," the love theme from Mario Bava's popart 60's film DANGER: DIABOLIK.

Ennio Morricone & Mario Bava are two names that are so well crafted in my life, so seeing it performed live by such an expressive vocalist, a full choir and orchestra brought tears to my eyes. God bless them, every one.

It is amazing to see such a tribute to Mario Bava, Ennio Morricone, Marisa Mell and John Phillip Law, especially when you think that this original film was made by modest & humble artists forty years ago, disregarded by many back then but recive a cult status over the years.

The last time I was so excited was when the Bestie Boys made their own tribute to Bava film with Body Moving:

Mille grazie to all those great artists.

Thanks to DJ Pilooski and his roof burning set in Tel Aviv last Friday, I've discovered this killer edit (Wade Nickols) of the good old "Happy Together" by the Turtles. Jumping all around the living room with your hands up in the air is totally acceptable.

Stop & Listen Fished by DJ Picasso

Here is another pointless compilation coming out of our over feasted with music mind to make you feel good. Trying to bring fresh sounds into your life, and this compilation is full off them. Starting up really fast with some fast speed grooves (Explotion - Dusty is a good example) to set you in the mood, then shooting you to the land of wired pop blasters, just listen to Vladimir Cosma genius orchestration or Bill Cosby funk roam, Betty Davis or Camille Yarborough to mention some really cool funk gems. And finally finishing with some nice smooth floating folk music to slow your mind to the right bit.

Take it easy and just enjoy the fun.

Track List:

01 - Site Beats Remix - DJ Grievous
02 - The Ride feat. Raashan Ahmad - Dragon Fli Empire
03 - Explosion - Dusty

Discolored by Picasso

I would like to give thanks for disco for saving my life by uploading this compilation of rare tracks.
Throw this one on at some point during the day and think of all the people you love, all of the great things in your life and all that is still to come.
This is the soundtrack to those thoughts.

So put on your flowing Halston dresses or shiny polyester Qiana shirts with pointy collars, preferably open at the chest and start dancing.

Track List:

01 I Can't Let Him Down - Love Unlimited
02 Ask Me - Ecstacy Passion & Pain
03 Soultana - Titanic
